The global network is comprised of 14,000 women and men at 105 locations across 60 countries and offers professional development, networking and mentoring programs and tools that empower women to grow their career and lead. Earl Bakken, Medtronic’s founder famously quoted: “I dream of a world where women lead”. Their CEO, Omar Ishrak has furthered that vision by putting a 40% target for women in leadership by 2020. As one of the biggest drivers of inclusion and the strongest resource for women at Medtronic, the MWN aims to foster a culture where Earl’s vision and Omar’s target can be realised. The MWN: ANZ Chapter is chaired by Prajni Sadananda. The ANZ Chapter’s focus is on mentoring female employees, creating appropriate networking opportunities and improving female engagement within Medtronic.
